Low Carb Diet

Spring has finally sprung here in northern Minnesota. I am really excited to get back outdoors, start my gardening and do some fishing. About a week ago, I finally got serious about losing weight. I put myself on a low carb diet and I do the Zumba exercise at least every other day. I did a 20 minute Zumba yesterday and it felt really good. I have learned over the years that the most effective way to get into shape is through healthy eating and exercise. Since I love dancing, I chose Zumba as my exercise routine.

Both my hubby and I have been trying to find low carb groceries to help us stay on the right track. Even though he loves bread and potatoes and I love rice, we have been able to cut back on the amount that we have been eating lately. He is still working on me to try to eat more veggies. I eat veggies but not a lot.

We also need to try to get into the habit of eating our supper before six o’clock in the evening. Last night while we were watching a baseball game, we were snacking on pancakes. Not a good habit to practice I know, but it was very difficult to resist, especially since my hubby is always willing to cook what I crave.
