No automatic alt text available. We are just a few days into the new year. New year means new sets of goals as well. I have a few goals set for this year and most have to do with living an active lifestyle. I have been living actively for the most part but not as much as I had been hoping for. This year, I want to upgrade my goals and do a better job of following through.

Like many, I also want to take a proactive role in my nutrition and wellness. I need to be more diligent doing my exercise and taking supplements. Although there is no such thing as a perfect diet, dietary supplements help fill nutritional gaps and promote overall health and wellness to those who cannot get enough essential nutrients from food alone.

There are lots of choices when it comes to dietary supplements so it is better to talk with your health care provider about what dietary supplements are right for you. Below are some of my goals that I want to focus on:

Exercise More

I haven’t done as much exercising as I wanted these past years. When life threw me some curves, that was when I realized how helpful exercising can be in trying to stay healthy and keep a positive attitude.

Eat More Fish and Vegetables

I need to eat more fish and vegetables. I think I will be able to do that by catching my own fish from the nearby lakes and by planting more of my favorite veggies in the garden. In addition to that, I am also hoping that I will be diligent in taking my dietary supplements, especially the multivitamins. I do take them regularly but I want to do it every day this time around.

Do Something You Love

The harvest of my favorite veggies from my garden has been low recently. The flow from our well pump is pretty slow and it is hard to get enough water on the garden during dry spells. I love to garden, don’t get me wrong but it is difficult to keep up with watering especially because of the sandy soil we have here. Hopefully, we can get our system upgraded and solve that problem sometime soon. Now I am more than anxious to get my gardening started and hopefully will be able to accomplish one of my goals.

Nurture Spiritual Side

I need to spend time in reading my Bible. I haven’t been doing that as much as I should lately. Nourishing my soul is as important as my body and mind.
