Weight Gain

It is just over a month since I arrived here in my native country, the Philippines. So far so good except that I am gaining a lot of weight. Before the trip, I tried my best to lose as much as possible because I knew that I would be putting on weight over this trip and sure enough I did. I haven’t been on scale lately so I don’t know for sure how many pounds did I put on. One thing that I know that two days after I got here, I could feel that my body was expanding. Needless to say because I eat almost every food that I see.

I told my hubby about my weight gain concern and he said that I would worry about it when I get back in Minnesota. He knows how much I misses the Filipino food a lot that’s why he doesn’t bother much about my weight gain but he said for my own good, he would say yes :-).

It is very difficult to cut back from eating because I love the food here and besides I seldom get to eat Filipino foodies when I am in the US. In other words, I am just taking advantage of the situation because I won’t be able to eat them everyday. The Filipino foods can be very pricey there in the US. Aside from that, I am not a good cook so I won’t be able to eat food as tasty as the ones I get here in the village.

I probably am close to 115 lbs now from 95. I took pictures of myself but don’t want to upload them on the web to avoid getting bullied. I was once a victim of bullying on a networking site. It hurts me because I thought she was my friend. To add insult to injury, she wouldn’t leave comments on my pictures without telling me that I was fat even she is fatter than me. She seldom comments and when she does, she always criticized my weight gain. I think at 95 lbs, I was already fat for her.
