Win $1,000 for Your Great Ideas about Saving the Environment

Usha Rajagopal Grant

For centuries, man has always tried to reach for the stars, literally. We were never content about the wonders of our planet, we always wanted to explore what is beyond our Earth. We were curious about the planets and whether we can find that perfect Earth-like planet in some planetary system in the ‘Goldilocks’ zone that might allow it to be a place where future generations can live.

So far, there had been a handful of faraway planets that were considered to be the best candidate; though it would take us years to fully determine whether these are livable or not. The man has to spend billions of dollars more to explore these planets and eventually open a civilization there.

While that sounds rather exciting to some degree, we have forgotten something that is more important: we are killing our own planet! Yes, there might be livable planets out there but why can’t we just take care of the one that we already have? It is the one that we don’t even have to spend billions of dollars to reach!

Sadly, we have taken our own Earth for granted that we might realize in the future that we haven’t been taking care of it so much because we were busy reaching for the stars beyond the Milky Way…

For many years now, we have experienced climate changes that brought severe disasters across the world. It seems that floods happen so easily now, with just a small amount of rain. Hurricanes and typhoons are more severe, dumping more rain unto the land and destroying many parts of the world.

Are we really just going to stand here, reaching for the stars but forgetting to save our own Earth?

If you are among those who are willing to help save the Earth, then here’s your chance to do it – and also get money to do it!

The Usha Rajagopal Grant provides $1,000 to someone who loves the environment and is willing to save the Earth.
